Two Dogs & A Garden was launched in July 2009 by Graham Ross who is one of Australia's leading and most loved gardening media personalities.

The venue was the beautiful Maiden Theatre in the grounds of the Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens and the Director of the Gardens, Tim Entwistle, was Master of Ceremonies during the evening. He subsequently wrote:
